Buffalo Bills Look Steady in 2009

The Buffalo Bills are an interesting team. With so much attention being focused on the New England Patriots and the new and improved New York Jets (not to mention the defending AFC East champion Miami Dolphins - oh yeah, remember them?), the Buffalo Bills are being overlooked. After a tough battle in New England that almost brought them a win and a strong victory at home against Tampa Bay, maybe that should change.

Trent Edwards looks like a new QB on the field this season. Having had two very effective games for the Bills so far, Edwards has been very efficient in the pocket and is taking full advantage of his new weapons.

It looks like there's a chemistry building between Edwards and newly acquired pro bowl wide receiver Terrell Owens, as the two connected for a nice touchdown pass during the game against Tampa Bay. With Lee Evans on the other side, Edwards has two extremely capable wide receivers to turn to this season.

There's somehow a third wide receiver in town. Schouman is the name. Having had six receptions and a total of 62 yards, Schouman led the team in receptions during week two. All of this has occurred while Marshawn Lynch is serving a suspension, though you'd never know it as Fred Jackson has simply been phenomenal.

They may not be the favorites to win the AFC East, but there's no reason the Buffalo Bills should be counted out. Any football fan who remembers what the Miami Dolphins did last season should know this very well.
